Adolescents, young adults and identity
What we do
Within the theme of Adolescence and Young Adulthood, we have long been researching various aspects of psychological and social development during adolescence and the transition to adulthood. We are interested in how the personality is formed, what influence cognitive, emotional and social characteristics have on the formation of the relationship to the self (issues of identity formation, self-concept, self-esteem, autonomy, life satisfaction, well-being, personal perspective, values), how interpersonal relationships (family, peer relationships, partner relationships) are transformed and what importance they have in this process. These are longitudinal and cross-sectional studies, combining quantitative and qualitative research.
